NT/WA Border Light Upgrade

Removal and installation of 5 new lighting poles at the WA/NT border.

After winning the tender from the Department of Finance our East Kimberley Electrical team headed to the WA/NT border to upgrade the street light system. The project included the removal of all old lighting poles and the installation of 5 new lighting poles with LED lights and a new camera system.

It marks a significant upgrade in infrastructure, promising enhanced safety and visibility for travellers and locals alike.

The installation of new LED lighting poles at the WA/NT border that stand 12.52 meters tall represents a forward-thinking initiative aimed at enhancing both safety and sustainability in the region. As the sun sets, these state-of-the-art poles will cast a bright and efficient light across the border, ensuring improved visibility for motorists and travellers.

This upgrade not only replaces older, less effective lighting systems but also underscores a commitment to environmental upgrades by reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. By illuminating this remote frontier with modern technology, the project exemplifies a harmonious blend of progress and conservation, promising a safer and more sustainable future for all who traverse this vast and rugged landscape.
